Overview

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll support the safe, accurate movement and storage of goods, from receipt through to dispatch. You’ll handle materials carefully, follow site procedures and keep stock information up to date. Your impact: accurate picking and stock records help colleagues prepare complete orders and keep goods moving smoothly.

Duties

• Pick, pack and label orders, checking items and quantities against instructions.
• Receive deliveries, support shipping and receiving, and load or unload goods safely.
• Stock shelves and storage areas, maintain orderly workspaces, and update the warehouse management system.
• Carry out quality checks and report damaged, missing or incorrectly recorded items.

Experience

Required: You’ll need practical materials-handling skills, care when lifting and moving goods, and the ability to follow picking, packing and quality-control procedures accurately. Preferred: Warehouse experience, familiarity with a warehouse management system, and knowledge of shipping and receiving, stocking or mechanical tasks are useful; forklift experience and confidence loading and unloading goods are also advantageous.
