Tax Senior

£50,000 – £60,000 + pension & benefits | Permanent | Full-time | Hybrid

An established and progressive accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Senior to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ATT qualified tax professional with 2–3 years’ corporate tax experience who is looking for a role offering a strong balance of compliance and advisory work, alongside genuine client responsibility and career progression.

The Tax Senior Role

The Tax Senior will manage a varied portfolio of clients, with approximately 40% of the role focused on tax compliance and 60% on advisory work.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns
• Managing tax compliance deadlines and submissions
• Providing practical corporate tax advice and planning
• Supporting clients with a range of tax planning matters
• Taking ownership of a portfolio of clients
• Reviewing the work of junior team members
• Providing guidance and mentoring to more junior staff
• Building strong, long-term client relationships

Tax Senior Requirements

• ATT qualified
• 2–3 years’ corporate tax experience
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax compliance and advisory
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Proactive, commercially aware and client-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
