Are you a compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs?

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with Spring Lane Primary School in Northampton, who are looking to appoint an experienced and committed SEN Class Teacher to join their SEND Communication and Language Provision from October 2026, following the October half term.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a meaningful difference to pupils with communication and language needs. The role is initially offered on a long-term basis, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful teacher will become an important part of the school's SEND provision, working closely with pupils, teaching assistants and wider professionals to support both their academic and personal development.

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils within the Communication and Language Provision.
• Creating a calm, nurturing and structured classroom environment where pupils feel safe, supported and able to learn.
• Adapting teaching approaches and resources to meet a range of communication, language, learning and developmental needs.
• Supporting pupils to develop their communication, language, social and emotional skills.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.
• Setting and working towards individual pupil targets, including those outlined within EHCPs.
• Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress and using this information to inform future planning.
• Promoting inclusion, independence, confidence and positive relationships across the school.

• Hold UK QTS or QTLS and have experience or a strong interest in SEN teaching.
• Have experience working with children with communication and language needs, SEND or additional needs.
• Have a patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Are confident differentiating lessons and adapting your teaching to meet individual pupil needs.
• Have strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
• Are able to build positive relationships with pupils and work effectively as part of a wider team.
• Are passionate about helping every child achieve their potential.
• Are interested in a role that could develop into a permanent position.
