JOINER 
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £36,750 – £39,990 per year, depending on experience
Shift Uplift: 12.5% (£41,343 – £44,988)
Shift Pattern: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Your New Opportunity
A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Joiner to transfer their skills into the rail industry, helping transform passenger trains through high-quality interior assembly and fit-out.
You will join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for carrying out the complete overhaul of passenger trains, installing and fitting interior components to deliver the comfort, quality and finish expected by today's passengers.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assembly and fitting of components to rail vehicles.
• Install and fit interior components, flooring, seating, panels and passenger comfort equipment.
• Complete joinery and interior fit-out work to a high standard.
• Work from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and in line with quality requirements.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a background in Joinery, with hands-on experience in interior fit-out, assembly or a similar practical environment.
Candidates with experience in the following areas are also encouraged to apply:

• Manufacturing and assembly
• Interior fit-out

You will also have:

• Strong experience using hand and power tools.
• The ability to read engineering drawings and follow detailed instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing a high-quality finish.
• Good practical problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including earlies and lates.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Joinery or a relevant discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screening.
