Business Development Manager – IT & Telecoms
Hybrid or Remote – UK Wide | Office based in Northamptonshire
Full-time, Permanent
£35,000–£45,000 DOE + Uncapped Commission
 
We’re partnering with a fast-growing technology business that is expanding its IT and telecoms offering and looking for ambitious Business Development Manager's to help take the business to the next level.
This is an exciting opportunity for confident sales professionals who love winning new business, opening doors and building long-term client relationships, you’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging with decision-makers and taking prospects through the sales journey from initial conversation to close. You’ll take a consultative approach, understanding each customer's challenges and matching them with the right technology solution.
You’ll be selling a broad portfolio of technology solutions, from managed IT and cloud services through to telecoms, connectivity and communications, helping businesses find smarter, more secure and reliable ways of working.
You’ll have the opportunity to sell solutions including:

Key Duties: 

• Proactively identify, prospect and win new B2B customers.
• Build and manage your own sales pipeline across the UK.
• Develop relationships with business owners, directors and senior decision-makers.
• Understand customer requirements and present tailored IT and telecoms solutions.
• Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to successful close.
• Generate opportunities through outbound activity, networking, referrals and relationship building.
• Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your pipeline effectively.
• Consistently achieve and exceed revenue, activity and new-business targets.
• Keep up to date with emerging IT, cloud, cyber security and telecoms technologies.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Driven, confident and commercially minded with a genuine appetite for winning new business.
• Proven B2B sales or business development experience.
• Experience selling IT, MSP, telecoms, connectivity or technology solutions.
• Knowledge of areas such as managed IT, cloud, cyber security, VoIP, SIP, broadband or mobile.
• A proactive, hunter-style approach to sales.
• The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and working towards structured KPIs.
• The motivation to work autonomously and take ownership of your results.
