Job Title: HR Assistant Manager

Salary: £45,000–£50,000

Contract: 12-month FTC

Working pattern: Hybrid – typically three days in the office and two days working from home

*Must be happy to travel to Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Leicester, and Birmingham offices

JGA Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading professional services organisation to recruit an HR Assistant Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to work closely with senior stakeholders, support regional people strategies and contribute to initiatives that enhance the employee experience across a multi-site organisation.

The role offers a varied balance of operational HR, employee relations, stakeholder management and project work, with the opportunity to make a tangible impact across several office locations.

The role

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with managers and senior stakeholders to provide pragmatic, people-focused advice across a range of HR matters.
• Supporting and advising on employee relations cases, including case management, recommendations and appropriate outcomes.
• Delivering regional people initiatives and operational HR plans aligned with wider business objectives.
• Leading and contributing to projects, identifying opportunities to improve employee engagement, experience and HR processes.
• Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple offices and levels of the organisation.
• Line managing, coaching and developing a Trainee HR Advisor, supporting their ongoing learning and professional development.
• Working with regional leadership teams to understand local people priorities and challenges while maintaining consistency across HR practices.
• Using HR data and insights to identify trends, inform decision-making and develop effective people solutions.

You’ll also bring:

• Experience providing practical HR advice and guidance across a broad range of people matters.
• Strong employee relations experience and confidence supporting complex cases.
• The ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience contributing to HR projects, people initiatives or process improvements.
• Experience supporting or developing junior HR colleagues.
