English Lecturer – GCSE Resits
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £36,200 – £43,200 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities available

The role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging GCSE English lessons to learners working towards their resits, helping them develop the knowledge, confidence and exam skills required to achieve their qualification.
You will monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt your teaching to meet a range of abilities and individual learning needs.

What do you need?

• Experience teaching GCSE English, including GCSE resit provision
• Experience teaching 16–19-year-old learners within further education, although this is not essential
• Alternatively, strong secondary teaching experience, particularly with lower-set GCSE groups
• A track record of supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes
• The ability to engage and motivate students with varying levels of confidence and ability
• Experience within alternative provision would be particularly valuable
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or DTLLS would be highly desirable
