This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical leader to join a large, well-established service, working closely with an experienced Home Manager and senior leadership team to drive quality, support colleagues, and deliver exceptional outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day operational management of the service.
- Provide strong clinical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of nursing and residential care are consistently delivered.
- Lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams, promoting a positive culture centred around quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, company policies and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and improve clinical governance, audits, risk management, incidents and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure residents receive outstanding person-centred care that promotes dignity, choice and independence.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Support recruitment, supervision, training and performance management of staff, encouraging continuous professional development.
- Assist with effective staffing, resource management and operational performance across the service.
- Participate in the management on-call rota, providing leadership support outside normal working hours when required.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC Pin.
- Proven management experience within an elderly nursing home environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of elderly care, clinical governance and CQC regulations.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Previous experience as a Care Manager or Deputy Manager.
- Experience within a large elderly care setting.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
